Just checked today on the bed i made last weekend (7 days ago) and was happy to see this. The spawned woodchips were covered with a thin layer of potting soil/dirt. I am planning to sow grass seed on it in two weeks and maybe add some more "casing"..

is it summer or winter there?
cos its winter here and the same temperature :)
anyway how cold does it have to get to fruit azures and how hot before thay die?
What i really need is a potent psilocybe woodlover that grows at those temps and fruits a little lower and can persist in the substrate dormant over the dry hot summer bursting to life with the first winter rains...
the native subaeruginosa is a go but how about the californians out there or others in a meditteranean climate??
