Congratulations! Your bed looks great!! I think there are a lot of people who would appreciate a summary of your technique used. A lot of us will be preparing similar beds this spring. We could learn from any valuable experience that you have.

One Qt. of spawn left whole and put into the bed at soil level and
the wood mulch was put back in place, this was done in the fall.
The spawn was (hardwood sawdust / whold wheat grain), 4 to 1 by Vom..
The bed is one year old.
It is sprading, and is now growing arond the boxwood!
