new grower. simple question.

i have a grow bag sitting in a box right beside my computer monitor (for warmth) with a cup of water in it (for humidity).
now, the setup seems to be working fine. but i've looked at pics and read growing teks...i still can't seem to find an answer to my question.
i got my bag from sporebank.com, one of their new 25 dollar grow bags, new and improved, and in the directions it states; Because germination and colonization will begin in the interior of the substrate material it may between 14-20 days for you to notice the spreading of colonizing mycelium towards the outside of the bag. Typical colonization time is 21-30 days for most species and strains.
When colonization is 90% or 100% complete, move bag to a location with indirect light (indoor light or filtered sunlight is best). Allow the bags to receive 12 hours of indirect light per day (direct fluorescent lighting works as well).

my question is this (it may seem like a very stupid question, but i am new, please bear with me...i have to learn sometime.)
what do they mean by colonization? is that just when my substrate material is all white(which it is)? and if so, does that mean i should start giving it light? or do i need to wait until the little shrooms start to pop up, then give it light?

i hope not to waste anybodies time or annoy anyone. thank you for your patience...if it wasn't for experienced shroomers, we'd all be lost.

Yes, if it's all white, now it is fully colonised

Yes, light initiates pinning (primordia formation (shroom babies))

I read on another post that everything from sporebank.com is the same thing from sporeworks.com except it's $10 more expensive, you got ripped off, just a heads up next time you get some bags.
