Impotence

Firstly, I'm 20 and have never wanted to have children and have on several occasions laughed at the thought. But recently I had this weird dream where I was impotent and felt a really strong depression when I woke up. Lately I can't get the idea out of my head that I will be impotent some day and that it will ruin me. I've no reason to think that I'll become impotent but the more I think about it, the inability to procreate would be the kind of thing that would ruin a relationship and mentally wreck a person.

Its almost to the point where I want to get a sperm sample taken just to assure me that I'm not already incapable of bearing children. Even with these thoughts I don't want children in the near future, but I can't stop thinking of how much it would suck to not have a child to call your own.

Impotence is a common fear for men. So much of our self worth centers around our penis . Hidden fears are often expressed in dreams. But just like most fears its not really rational.

i wouldn't jump the gun on this one by completely negating his dream , its quite possible that subliminal hints[ not yet known to rational thinking and the scientific community ] are culminating in his dreams and producing the " impotency " fear.
your dreams may or may not be telling you something; although i am a believer in listening to ones body , i am also a very logical individual and recognize that half of the shit in my dreams is rediculous fantasy. EITHER WAY i would get myself checked out.

just don't wear tightie whities. not only do they kill about 9/10's your sperm, but you might as well be impotent with the amount of unsexiness they bring.
