An alternative to smoking (cigarettes)
    #8189354 -

So I was drunk one night and went to the gas station down the street (which also has a sub shop connected to it) to get some food, and I see the kid inside smoking what appears to be a cigar or blunt of some sort. I'm a regular here, so I'm kind of friendly with this guy....and think to myself he must have lost it and go inside to investigate. I walk in and there are a couple other young guys standing around laughing and talking to the guy, but no smoke or smell whatsoever so I think I must be wasted or crazy. But when I went to buy my cigs or drink or whatever the hell I wanted he hands me this black tube shaped like a cigar and tells me to hit it, I ask if it'll get me high and take a long drag of a sweet tasting somethin' and exhale a big cloud of "smoke". So to make a short story long, he introduced me to one of these. I thought it was the greatest thing ever and ordered one, it finally came in the mail today. Mine doesn't seem to work quite as well as his, I'm hoping it's because I didn't charge the battery for very long. I'm still a bit undecided as to the quality, but it has amazing potential. I'm going to try to make it through the day tomorrow only using this thing and not smoking any actual cigs and see how it compares, I usually smoke a pack a day. I'll let you all know how it goes. Has anyone else heard of/tried such a thing?

I had a friend in college that quit with a similar system I do not know what it is called but can verify it's existence he quit progressively with different cigarette filter attachments. Weird but it worked for him know him today and he is tobacco smoke free... he was also the first person I've seen to 'screen' their bong water and dry it out and smoke the chunks LOL.

Looks too expensive for me to try on a whim.

I've not heard anything about it, but would certainly give it a try

Looks like the replacement packs would be cheaper than smoking cigs.

I didn't buy it so much as a way to quit smoking, but more a way to smoke inside. They have recently outlawed smoking in public places where I live (including ALL bars/restaurants), and this is not legally a tobacco product of any kind and therefor can be used anywhere.

Thats disgusting.

They claim that one cartridge is equivalent to 1-2 packs of cigarettes or something along those lines, the guy who showed me this thing and let me try it said he changes the cartridge every hour or two.

Wow, thats really ironic considering I smoked my (hopefully) last cigarette earlier today. Have any of you tried the crown7? I'm about to buy one considering if it works it will pay for itself in less then a month. What is a straight nicotine buzz like? Id imagine it would be a lot different then a tobacco buzz.

Man that thing sounds awsome, reading the crown 7 faq page really makes me wish i had heard of these (or that they had been invented) a long long time ago...

I tried it before I bought it, and I'm puffing on one now. At first I was having trouble getting good hits from it, but I just put on a fully charged battery and it's working great. I defiantly felt the need to replace the cartridge already though after a couple hours of heavy "testing". I can't really tell how much nicotine I'm getting from it though, but I'm drunk and I normally don't smoke at home very often. The real test will be tomorrow at work where I normally crush a pack of Marlboro lights in 8-10 hours.

Its not for quitting it seems. It is for a healthier alternative to cigs. The older I get teh more concerned about my health I get and I smoke. I am interested in this now because I can get my old lady and kid soff my back but not give up my sweet sweet nicotine. Man I want one now. Gotta wait till payday though. Did you ever get your working properly? That is sweet man I got to get one.

I quit recently. I really suggest it.

Sure I have smoked a few in the past few weeks when I am hammered but I do not count that.

Check this out:

https://e-cig.com/shopping/shopcontent.asp?type=home

These guys sell the same product for less than half the price. Seems crown 7 buys wholesale from them then jacks the price up.

Thanks a lot man, That is so cool to find it cheaper. the refills and other things are cheap. For the price difference I could get more stuff for it later because for my health I was still even considering it for 99 bucks. I just got my check to. Time to place orders or several things I been having in mind. Jeez you can find everything you need to buy in life just from links in this site. Thanks Shroomery.org!!! lol.

So.. if that's not smoke coming out, what is it?

Also, I'd disable the led, that seems pretty lame.

I'd like to try this out, but I'd definitely feild test before buying (which there seems to be a consensus on here).

I see that e-cig.com is selling the e-cigarillo for 23 bucks, which comes with rechargable batteries and a battery charger. Don't those cost quite a bit? Something tells me they could sell a barebones model for next to nothing if they were so inclined.

my goodness. I would rather not chew shit with fiberglass in it. Crown 7 sounds like the perfect harmless device that allows you to get your nicotine fix the same way you smoke a cig, without the bad smells or as much lung damage.

cigs are fucked up and i dont like em anymore...wont smoke em. only weed...that's also a good alternative. Make your cigarettes into joints. Wiggle out the filters and put in a good cardboard crutch, unravel the tobacco and dump in the weed, roll up the end, and you have a perfect marijuana cigarette. Looks just like a regular cig.
