Folks.

This guy died when an airplane piloted by people from a different country was intentionally crashed into his office building in the name of a cause he knows nothing about.

His wife and kids were given lots of money in compensation, donated by his insurance company, and people around the world.

This guy died when an airplane piloted by people from another country dropped bombs on his shack in the name of a cause he knew nothing about.

His wife and kids were raped and murdered.

Are these actual people and do you have facts to back up your claims (such as rape and murder of wife and children)?

..donated by his insurance company
When an insurance company pays out on a policy, it's called a contractual obligation. The first individual would have paid for this service (his insurance company), it shouldn't be called a donation.

I understand your point, and I agree that two wrongs don't make a right and both supposed folks are victims. However, there's a definate PC bias which is exposed in your post by trying to portray the bearded fellow as somehow suffering a greater wrong. Death is the greatest equalizer among men.

If you haven't done so already, I would suggest the you read Mark Twain's The War Prayer. It is a statement against war and religious hypocrisy. I consider it to be quite appropriate for our times.

Of course they're not actual people.

I'm not saying anybody suffered a greater wrong. That's just the way things are actually happening.

This is not a good political post. Not only are your examples not hypothetical, they are ficticous. You also included no proofs, no examples of "this is the way things are". I really don't understand why you didn't post this in Sprituality or OTD.

Don't misunderstand this as some sort of attack or lame attempt at being "cute". It isn't, you have exemplory examples of posts and replys in which your stance or the subject is well reasoned and well thought out.

Well, it is based 100% in facts. Sure the examples are ficticious, but this is exactly what happens. When you die in a third world country where women have little or no respect in society, they're fucked. They'll end up homeless or screwed over somehow.

When you're well off, and die in a first world country, there's lots of things to fall back on, insurance (yeah, I know how insurance works, I'm not an idiot), and in the case of the WTC attacks, families got money from donations.

Of course this belongs in the political discussion forum. The message is of a political nature, not a spiritual one. There are no rules in this forum about how you present your opinions, thoughts, or ideas. If I'm engaged in some kind of debate, I'll present them one way. If I just feel like expressing a fairly basic idea, I'll do it another way.

See, was that so hard. You know damn good and well that I have limited abilitys of creative thought processes. Now I understand what the hell you were saying.

Now, what's your point?

Kidding!!! I know your point, maybe, I think.
Wealthy, or at least able to afford some life insurance and living in a "western" society = good casket and family not put out in streets.

Third world = screwed; literaly (no joking here)
