Melbourne Victoria 2008 season
    #8128223 - 03/10/08 04:40 PM (15 years, 6 months ago)

Well we all know its 2008 and the time is coming upon us,

id like to know What people from Melbourne think about meeting up  at mushroom haven, ie, bush, backyard, camping to share info and take pictures of wild mushrooms...actives,in actives, edibles, well you get my drift  i think it would be really good fun

if anyone is interested and has anything to say, go ahead

also if you want to talk about the upcoming season, or add pictures of your findings go ahead and post them in here.

You can use this to talk about anything within Victoria Melbourne

Come ooonnnnnnn freezing weather.

A meet-up sounds cool, though I'm not in good health myself. Who wants to go live in the bush? Seriously. I was thinking about it today... just go into the bush and stay there.

Anyway, Gippsland is nice and green. That's good news...

stop eating amanitas dude, just be patient and wait till its cold and raining. your going to seriously give yourself sum troubles with actives if you think everything is about just woofing down.

take it easy, apply it to everything

you are going too hard too quick, self control seems to be something you lack

When its pissing down rain (NOT A HEATWAVE) and you need to wear long pants and a jumper, your blowing fog out of your mouth, and your beard (if you are old enough) has frost and ice in it, then yes you maybe be finding psilocybe subaeruginosa.

until then though please dont go eating anymore field finds man, its making MY guts churn.

Was that directed at me or Duke?

I've never eaten an Amanita and don't plan on.  But I get subs growing close to home so seeing it is just a nice sign of things to come.

A.Muscaria made music sound good for a little while then created a very vivid dream experience. They're okay if you cook them right... but yeah... often gut churning.

Yeah this heat wave is kind of a problem. 38 yesterday.

Duke - I'm a bit unstable but getting better every day!

its obviously directed at duke, he has been rego'd for a week or so, complaining of vommitting when theres plentttttty of info on this site regarding fly agarics stomach issues and total lack of psilcibin and psilocin altogether,

I just wish patience on him to just wait for something worth waiting for and not getting all nausea and shit for nothing.

I honestly feel for the poor cunt and want my vibes to be pumping through his car stereo that when he finds that vagina in the forest thats worth fucking he'll understand what all this rant is about, but until then leave the fricken vaginas that make your dick fall off in the forest ma nigga.

Thanks man il be patient haha .
Amanita is the most feral crap out there id rather eat a dirty
fanny but then again lol (jjking), Amanita are a cool shroom if your into mushrooms, but eating it is pretty vial and the sickness is absolutely not worth the ride....falling asleep sick and have a weird dream is about all its good for, but one must experience it at least once.

Bread; will you try it one day ?

burgatory- get well soon

fly agaric certainly looks evil and very magical especially when its sort of breaking up thru the ground like a fist.

but the intense blueing of a psilo.subaeruginosa that "magically appears" after they are picked that can sometimes go off like a little ink bomb in the cap/stem is wayyyyyyy more magic looking and feeling to hold.

No bullshit, I found this little dried up sub yesterday! It was growing from the pot plant which I was dumping all my stem buts into last season. This pot is frequently watered and in a shady area but I'm shocked. how the fuck could it have grown in this heat?.

I re hydrated it in some warm water. Definitely a sub.

I dunno how long it had been there it was pretty dry.

I guess it might have had something to do with the what-cha-ma-call-it, some times when the thing-a-ma-bob initializes it self, the intergalactic time frigid just has no where else to go, so statistically speaking it just wanted to pop up to say hi.

Worth a look, but over 5 years of hunting, despite my frustration, it has always needed to be colder.

The time will come.

Found a nice cluster of shaggy parasol Lepiota rachodes in CBD. Just before the heat wave. they are in an irrigated area in the shade, they were even producing in the crazy heat but dried up tiny fruit bodies.
I am looking forward to my first season in OZ, last year i enjoyed the hunting in th san francisco bay area....very nice.

well by me asking questions helps me find information.
My posts have nothing to do with you besides it's 27 posts not 30...28 now

also your contradicting your self by posting rubbish to me that is unnecessary

don't hate just because i have lots to say, there are another 1k plus guys spilling shit in forums go pick on them

plus if you would have done some research before posting you cant find spore prints that ship in Australia you would know that they are illegal and you should not be getting them and there are lots of places that ship at great prices  ...my point a worthless post do your research first

just goes to show that duke adro is juke adro lol.  Put your foot in it there.
cheers,

also if you read my post correctly i was finding it hard to find a supplier with a reasonable shipping price and that had a lot of stock as most suppliers where low on stock.

For those interested in the outcome, as i did not know this, and also to make this post worth while and not dribble on.:D When visiting sites from overseas they have a international webpage seperate from there local site.
The international site has different shipping options available which lowers the price of shipping buy a monstrosity amount.

ill also update the other thread, for future users who might also run into this problem

cheers.

Yeah Juke, if you wanna talk bullshit go back to OTD. Some of us here actually know how to hunt and dont want the melbourne thread full of useless immature shit.

So find somewhere else to spill it.

i posted 2 crap posts right ...all up 2 how the fuck am i supposed to know what not to do only a few of you guys are helpfull the rest a pure cunts

i was also new when i posted those 2 stupid comments

we are all here for the same thing, not here to cause trouble and pick on people, if you dont want the thread full of crap how about you msg me i would have been happy to comply, all your doing is filling it up with more crap, 8 posts from you guys regarding too many posts from myself and one nice simple msg would have done

gimme a break ffs

since the first day i got here i got knocked down and people tried to be smart where is the polite nature, what is the point of being here if you cant have fun, dont be so serious guys, you are going to start a new thread anyway and if you just leave me alone i would not have to defend myself, im a great person, helpfull happy nature always kind, calm and peacefull but in here you guys make me feel annoyed and almost stressed just back the fuck off and be nice, smile

this will be my last comment and will only post informative info and shit you would like ...if you leave me alone

thankyou

Adro

    #8279565 - 04/13/08 08:58 PM (15 years, 5 months ago)

Hey Y'all back again for another season
I spotted my in-actives last week whilst walking to the station and had a smile all the way to the city.
Its starting to get to the temps at night that we need out my way and the rain has me thinking we could be in for a better season than last.
Get excited folks May is just around the corner

Found a few decent patches of inactives in my local area (Ringwood). Looks like they have grown from yesterday's rainfall - only a few weeks, a month, til' we will have the first actives hopefully.

Hey Souny, nice little find. first of the season.. Nice one. Looking forward to a fruitful one.

Just a point - someone mentioned they wanted to start another fresh thread once the season was underway? The first 3 pages of this thread got jam packed with verbal dregs.

Good to see all the familliar faces again

Heres some found today. Should have checked the spot a week earlier. There was heaps of rotten ones.
Lots of pins too but I don't like there chances with the weeks weather ahead.

No habitat shots unfortunately. Wasn't really expecting to find any.

Some delicious mushrooms I'm seeing here!

I went and took a look at my tiny patch, and there were two little pins, and unlikely to be subs. Got to wait another few weeks (or a month) before adult mushrooms are there I think. :frown:
