The need for sleep will never.........NEVER be abolished.

Humans will always have to sleep.....no way around that fact.

you need sleep for things like healing and your immune system to work properly, i think people using this a lot would end up pretty sick.

and as a side note, the longest recorded period someone has gone without sleep was 11 days in an experiment done in 1965. there are other claims of as much as 18 days. not a good thing to try though...

i'd like to see a long term study done at different dosage intervals. have some for a week straight, some for a month straight, some for 3, 6, 9, and 12 months straight. then see what they think

I'd be interested in this, since caffeine does absolutely nothing for me. I also would think that if the lack of orexin A appears to cause narcolepsy, then maybe a drug that blocks orexin A might help with severe insomnia.
