Do mushrooms induce lucid dreaming?

I hope this is the right forum to ask regarding this phenomena. In early February, and again this week-end, I took a fairly low dose (2 - 2.25g) powdered cubensis and had some nice CEV's.

In each instance, 48 hours later, I experienced an episode of lucid dreaming, something that never (as far as I'm aware) happened to me ever before without prior psilocybin/psilocin administration. Is anyone aware of a relationship between lucid dreaming and psilocin? Are there any studies linking these two events?

I searched "lucid dreaming mushrooms" but the posts were all about lucid dreams in which the dreamer TOOK (lsd, DMT, shrooms) in the dream, not any indication of shrooming leading to lucid dreams.

i told all my friends mushrooms broght my dreams back. when i smoke weed daily i dont remember my dreams. whil smoking regularly i had my first mushroom trip and that night had the most vivid dreams in over 2 years. i then took a break from smoking and 2 weeks into my break i started having vivid dreams again, about 3 dreams a night. so both drugs effect my dream state.

anecdotal evidence- i was at this party, talking about shrooms and this chick said she only tried shrooms once, and it was right before she passed out, but she said she had the craziest/most vivid dreams she'd had.

It can make your dreams vivid, but lucidity requires control.

Lucid dreaming has been something thats intrigued me for a while now. I've been working on it and haven't been completely successful so far. My friend speaks incredibly highly of it though, and experienced it initially when using psychedelics. You can do it without them though, its just a bit more work perhaps.

Well, I didn't want to bore anyone with details, but yes, I became aware during the dream that I WAS dreaming, and did have a modest amount of control for a short while. Unfortunately, it seems that the "realization" that I'm dreaming actually prompts me to subsequently wake up a very short time later.

In last night's episode, I stood atop a building, looking down into blackness. I would NEVER do that in "real" life, and that was what alerted me to the fact that I was dreaming.

Once I realized it was a dream and I was on top of a building, I wanted to go for a nice little fly...but not into darkness. I willed the darkness to turn into a green lawn (pretty well manicured at that!) and then took off, flying low for a short while, whereupon I awoke.

I think that meets the requirements of a lucid dream. Odd that such a thing should happen on the second night after a mushroom dose, when it hasn't happened to me in over 35 years.
