Thats something else right there!..

wow

That is a large number of `cubensis| grouped together

wow

and you found all of these growing in the wild `naturally|.?.

2nd & 4th pictures have a large number of qb's grouped together, more than normal.

i can hardly believe it

do you always find dozens of them all the time in oklahoma, during fall and winter?

how did you know when to go looking for them when the temp's were already below freezing?

How often were you hunting for cubes around this time?

are they fruiting right now, almost a year from the day you posted this?
November 22nd in southwest oklahoma..

This year wasnt a very good one for cubes in florida, but, they fruit almost that many in the summertime, but, not during late november.

Oklahoma must be the place for Wild Cubes..

Do they grow year-round up there?
Does it snow there?
-and do they still fruit there when its snowing?

doesnt it snow and get white frost on the ground you can see when its below freezing?

was it below freezeing at the time you took those pictures?

Were all those pictures taken on the same day?
-or were those taken on different days around the time, (or afterwards in the winter), this topic was posted a year ago?

Was it just below freezing at night?
-& if so, how long would it stay below freezing?
-& If it warmed up during the day, how far away from being freezing was it?

Did you get any spore prints?

Are those growing from cow manure?

How long did these fruit after the time of these pictures you took?

How often was it snowing and/or raining or sleet when these cubensises were freezing?

Exactly what part of south eastern Oklahoma are you finding these cubes?

Does everyone around your town know that they grow around there? -and how long does the normal cube hunter hunt until during the season?

And what is the most productive season for these to grow?

You think that's incredible, you should see my liberrty cap discovery, it has no posts yet, however, I expect it will, orange liberty caps!!! THose cubensis are beautiful. I shall be forced to loojk for wild cubensis, to make up for sucky scanners. I used to know a laywer who had a good scanner, except she lived in Hollywood, I'll have to send her the pictures of my liberty caps after I track down where she is now, I hope that she's alright, and I hope that all the greatest mushrooms of the worlds always fruit, because we love their pctures.

A;yes

2nd & 4th pictures have a large number of qb's grouped together, more than normal.

i can hardly believe it

Q;do you always find dozens of them all the time in oklahoma, during fall and winter?
A;a large number grouped together is normal here.

Q;how did you know when to go looking for them when the temp's were already below freezing?
A;an inch a week for 3 weeks min. in september it will start to fruit.

Q;How often were you hunting for cubes around this time?
A:every year since 1986.

Q;are they fruiting right now, almost a year from the day you posted this?
November 22nd in southwest oklahoma..
A: we have had several freezes and a snow but the ground did not freeze.

This year wasnt a very good one for cubes in florida, but, they fruit almost that many in the summertime, but,
not during late november.
A:it hasn't been good here either we broke the dust bowl record!

Oklahoma must be the place for Wild Cubes..

Q;Do they grow year-round up there?
A:no i have never seen one in the spring here.
Q;Does it snow there?
and do they still fruit there when its snowing?
A: very little. when the ground freezes solid thats what kills them.
Q;doesnt it snow and get white frost on the ground you can see when its below freezing?
A: yes
Q;was it below freezeing at the time you took those pictures?
A: first two pics yes, the next no.
Q:Were all those pictures taken on the same day?
or were those taken on different days around the time, (or afterwards in the winter), this topic was posted a
year ago?
A: yes
Q;Was it just below freezing at night?
A:yes
Q;& if so, how long would it stay below freezing?
A:depends on mother nature HA HA but mainly at night.
Q;& If it warmed up during the day, how far away from being freezing was it?
A: daytime temp. in the 60's
Q;Did you get any spore prints?
A:
Q;Are those growing from cow manure?
A: first 2 pics are on rotten hay bail. rest are cow.
Q;How long did these fruit after the time of these pictures you took?
A:until the ground froze solid
Q;How often was it snowing and/or raining or sleet when these cubensises were freezing?
A;there goes mother nature again it just depends. {there is a saying here in oklahoma: if you don't
like the weather just wait a minute. and thats how it goes around here.}
Q;Exactly what part of south eastern Oklahoma are you finding these cubes?
A:i plead the fifth.
Q;Does everyone around your town know that they grow around there? -and how long does the normal cube
hunter hunt until during the season?
A:Its not common knowledge. and the ones that do don't even know the name
of what they are picking, and they also think that the internet is something you
take fishing.
Q;And what is the most productive season for these to grow?
A;september-november or december depending on weather.
