I don't know what to say. I went to my favorite location (barr st. by the church) I used to ride mountain bikes there forever. anyway, we found about 2 ozs of very pretty cubies and when we hopped this gutter/creek from all the rain there was a seminole county sherrif there. HOLY SHIT!!!! anyway, he asked if anything was in the car... my GF is on probation. I said he couldn't search my car, he called the dogs.. waited half an hour dumped the shrooms in the grass and let us go. MY OH MY OH MY. so fresh shrooms ARE legal in florida... we had like 20 medium sized cubies. anyway, shrooms are poop.... lucy's hittin the streets again. I will NEVER go shroming again... an oviedo officer SHOT a shroomer some years back.. go to a secluded place GOD forbid. I am SOOO lucky to be home now and not in jail. that is the last time i EVER go shroming.

p.s ... I found two latex gloves in our spot.. if you go DON'T LITTER. It's a terrible habit/thing to do. be good to the earth and it will be good to you.

holy shit, sorry to hear about the tramatic experience! i too got busted leaving a parking area next to a field by seminole county sherrifs in a jeep. luckily i had throw the shrooms in the trunk and we had no weed on us. i let them search my car after they said they would call the dog and get a warrent. i've only gone shrooming once since then but it always makes me sooo paranoid to do so.
and i had no idea about the cop shooting some kid! thats fucked up. well i guess you're gonna have to start growing. Lowes is the place for verm. walmart has tons of canning jars in stock now too. good luck, PM me if you need any info.

damn brutha. that is fucked. did you go during the day or at night? what did the cop say to you? was he being an asshole or was he cool? what did you say to him? damn, that is some shady shit though. i pulled a little stealth mission last night, right as it started getting dark. i'm beginning to favor the darkness, but it definitely makes things a little tougher-- stepping in shit, fire ant bites, plus the shrooms are harder to locate. anyway, if i were you, i would lay low for a couple of weeks or more. than go out again. if you're still freaked about going, i'll roll out with ya.

Going at night is probably safer but it is much harder. The one time i went into a field when it was dark i got lost and didnt find any mushrooms or even any dung, exept the one i stepped in. And im way to parinod to use a flashlight. Ive read on countless sights that the moonlight is all you need, thats BS, do they not relize that mushrooms grow under trees. shroomFL, just dont bring anything illegal and be very frieldly to any cops you encounter, but never admit that you plan on doing somthing illegal (injesting mushrooms to trip). Seems to me you did a good job, kept yourself out of jail anyway, so dont worry about it. I figure the worst that could happen is a trespassing charge, lots of people are more at risk driving their car. As for getting shot, same thing, what are the odds. You have to weigh the pros and cons, everyone is different.

i have only been pickin a few times(south florida area) but i honestly cannot imagine going into a field during daylight w/o the farmers permission. i mean all a neighbor has to do is see you and pick up a phone. thats way too easy. i scout out the field, entrance points, and parking spots at late afternoon and then i go. i never had any problems with moonlight, although i will admit, i get scared sometimes when i go alone on a new moon. so i shuffle my feet and whistle to let the snakes and sleeping cows know i am there.

damn that sucks
i got busted by a farmer today :\ but it was cool - he yelled somn to us, so we just walked over to the fence where our car was, hopped the fence (all the while he was tryin to be a hardass). I waved - we got in the car and drove off. He didnt know wut to do lol.

I live in Central Florida. Ocala/Belleview to be exact. Me and some friends have gone shrooming in various fields many times. Night, Day...it sounds crazy but its true. This one field thats a gold mine to us, is two blocks away from where i used to live. Not a very populated area.
One day we went shrooming there and i drove my car because we were to lazy to walk (big mistake). A neighbor to the lot where i was parking my car had seen my car there countless times, and maybe she even saw us jumping the barbwire. Well, whenever we got done shrooming, a cop was waiting at my car. Our first instinct...run. We dumped the shrooms. Then we ran, and after a while i convinced one of my friends to come with me to talk to the cop who wasnt moving.
When we got to the cop and my car, i asked "is there something wrong sir". (at this moment i was sweating profusely, my pulse was racing, and my hair was messed up). We claimed that my car over-heated and we were just goofing around the neighborhood while it cooled off. He kept us there for 25 minutes asking questions, looking up information, asking more questions. He found loop holes in our story, while we made up lies covering these holes. Eventually he asked if he could search my car, and thats when i remembered i had shrooms in the back seat. You could even see them from the window. I told him no politely, and said i had to be home. My mom was pretty particular at what time i got home. So he said "alright. lets go visit mom"
So we drove back to my house, which was 2 blocks away (another hole in our story) Not only did my mom come out of the house, but so did the rest of my family. The cop explained the whole story, and even menchined that he thought we were doing drugs in the woods. Also, that i wouldnt let him search the car, so that it was likely i had drugs in it. I was shitting my pants at this moment, and told my mom "i didnt say no, i just said i had to get home." thats when my mother said "well your home now" and then cop looked at me again. my gut sank as i told him "no, you cant search my car" again. he left after telling her that she could handle it, and all my mom did was laugh about the situation. (she usually gets extremly mad and suspective when anything happens. and a cop would be an extreme.)
