Hey I found this little baby in a horse pasture and thought it looked alot like a LBM. I am really no expert and have no idea of whether this guy is hallucinogenic.

Hmm guys, well I have pretty much have identified this mushroom. I was looking at the purplish veil.. Noticed how the color of the gills. When I looked at the cap it was darker in the middle. It is turning blue and I smelled it and I have identified it as a cubensis. Turns out that it got rained on so I guess it's just water-logged is the reason I couldn't tell what it was.

Then you obviously haven't ate one wild cubensis before, he will dedinitely feel it.

Another horse field cubie :) what state you in? Yeah, when you pick during or just after a good rain, the caps become brownish and transparent looking, once they dry out they turn all white with a touch of gold/orange in the center of the cap.

you are exactly right! i live in southern cali....ive never seen a wild cubie....except of course my spent casings pile....ocassionaly ill get a couple....but i highly doubt you can classify that as wild....lol.....
