pictures FINALLY UPLOADED(THANKS ANNO)/SEE ENTRY OF AUG13, BELOW. from multispore (sporeworks) on agar, then isolated, approx on may 15, then on grain, one quart, then on june1 on alder chips (soaked 1 week, pastorized) in plastic rubbermaid in hole in ground near sprinkler/mister, under pine trees, shaded, covered with freshly cut maple branches (small, with many green leafs). harvested yesterday, looking beatiful!

Great job! Sounds like a solid way to grow them outside, i was thinking about inside but dont have a fridge to dedicate......

no frig! they fruited with temperatures averiging 85-95 f !!!!!! i was expecting to see friuts only when the weather got cooler, say in october. minstead, i had this happy surprise which goes to show how incredibly versatile these wood lovers are!

Are you saying that you burried the Rubbermaid container outside or you emptied it into the hole? I can't believe the azurescens are fruiting at those temperatures. I can't wait to see the pictures.

burried in the ground. holes were poked all over the container for drainage. cloned yesterday, in less then optimal conditions, wish me luck! i have some pics, but only on film. i can scan them but in a week or so.

Did you compare your fruits with the pictures of azures on the net? Do they look like them?

thanks, tried again w/o success. the message i get is "file is not of allowed types, it is an application/x-macbinary". anyway, i'll be trying again later today, can't imagine i won't be able to upload eventually, plus mr mushrooms has kindly offered to walk me through the process. later
