Outdoor Patch Details - Regional timing?

If there was an army of slugs living in the chesapeake bay area that congregated in an effort to create an outdoor cubensis patch, what time of year would they be most successful in attempting this? Due to the odd temperature variations in the area, the slugs chances of success seem to be in question. How much water would they need to deliver to the patch, and how would they cover it? (Tough tasks for slugs, but they could be determined!) I believe the slugs are familiar with Una's tek for an azure patch - could anyone provide a link to a user-friendly tek for an outdoor cubensis patch? Info. especially about this temperate zone is most needed!
Thanks!

the faq lacks detailed info on the regional issues i'm talking about, nor does it really mention the various details with different species and the process involved (ie: the extra steps besides digging your hole and making a giant casing. i've read the faq several times, and i've been around here - i'm just looking for some answers to specific questions. What are the optimal time frames that an outdoor bed can thrive in the temperate-boreal chesapeake area that the slug army may migrate to?

also, I'm sure outdoor cyanacens patches have been created before. What are the details going into this?

The information you want is too specific, nobody here is gonna know that. You should do the patch whenever it gets no less than 50F at night.
