City Compost.

Well my city (probably like lots) does a compost of all grass clippings and what not.

I wanted to know if this will work as a bulk sub?

I Called and bugged them and got some info.
Its all organic With nothing added to stop molds or anything.

Ingredients: Leaves, grass clippings,garden waste, brush ,tree trimmings,shrubs and paper.

The material is shredded and composted at 55 Celsius for three to six months and screened to 1/2 inch.

Its only 3.50$ for 65 pounds bag your own type thing or 12.50 a cubic yard.

So Will it work for cubes? or What can I grow on this like edibles and meds? Its already pasteurized so ill just have to keep it clean till i get it home right?
So who has experience with Garden compost? I'm going to use the search more talk to ya later.

I make my own compost out of pretty much the same recipe your city does and I have great results. I add chicken poo and urea as a nitrogen boost as well as hpoo to mine but I think you would get a couple decent flushes of cubes from it. Give it a try and let us know how it turns out...

It will work. Check the pH level before you use it. You may need to leach it. Like poo.
I personaly would pasterize it b4 I used it just to make sure to be the baring fruit it to precious to gamble with.

I've used it before. It will work much better if you mix in some cow or horse manure. Up to 5% chicken manure can also be added.

I found a bit more info on it.

This product was successfully submitted under the Composting Council of Canada's "Compost Quality Alliance".

* Compost Stability Index 8
* C/N ratio 11:1 <<<<<<<<<is that what im lookin out for?
* Moisture 47.04
