Major Freakout or How I learned to stop caring and love my dog

So I wake up this morning after sleeping through my alarm with barely enough time to run out the door and speed to class. If I'm late to this class just one more time I drop a letter grade instantly, so I'm busting my ass to get to class on time.
It's not until 11:00 that I realize I have an apartment inspection at 10:30, and guess what I forgot to cover up and put away? If you guessed a fruiting chamber with various stages of mushroom growth, you nailed it. I even had mushrooms sitting out drying, pipes and ash trays all over the place, and jars with WBS sitting out next to my Pressure Cooker.
So now I'm bolting back home, hoping that maybe the inspector is going to be late. I get there and there's no cars there, I get to my door and open it (did I leave it unlocked?! Panic sets in.) I run to my room to see just how bad it looks. It's undeniable, there's stuff everywhere. Panic gets worse, trays start getting thrown into garbage bags, all evidence must be hidden before what I expect to be a full SWAT team arrives at my door ready to haul me off to jail.
So I go ask the neighbor who's a cool guy if the inspector came by and maybe said anything about going into my apartment.
He did.
He said my dogs were having none of him coming into my apartment while I wasn't there, and he'd have to re-schedule. Feeling comes rushing back into my panic-stricken body. I'm now thankful I went and asked the neighbor before I tossed ALL my trays, and managed to salvage two fruiting trays and all the mushrooms that were already drying.
Thank god my dogs sound so much scarier than they actually are. End of freak out story.

Heart racing - Yes.
Grade dropping - No. I actually made it to class with about 30 seconds to spare.

It's a 3 week intensive winter semester class. 15 weeks of class condensed into 3 weeks of hell.
It's obviously wreaking havoc on my brain or there's no way I would have woken up late and forgot to put all that stuff away.

Odd, I've herd of intensive summer semesters. I wonder if the professors still get paid like a 15week gig, or at least the equivalent of the cost difference to take those credits. I just took a stroll through my university yesterday the damn things deserted. Even the library and all services are closed this week.

Must be nice I get a fucking inspection every 2-3 months. Everything must be clean or they write you up for violating the lease, where it states your house must be sanitary and clean at all times. I am talking opening your oven and wiping there fucking finger clean. I live in subsidized housing though, I'll be out here soon enough and I intend to do something vary disgusting and sinister to the office ladies vehicle.

Thats rough. I live in student housing but so its shit to begin with. But at the end of the year they are redoing it all. I've seen a few units they have redone. Which means I don't have worry about anything, within reason.

The whole building is changing ownership, which I'm ecstatic about because my landlord right now is a royal cunt and the guy who's buying it is an honest contractor, and I know how to work with contractors.
So the inspection was like a safety inspection to see if anything needs to be brought up to code or whatnot before the sale goes final.
Other than that nobody's come to bother me one bit, which is why I got a little careless with what I was leaving out in the open.
