Now A Cute Thread - Alex, the Akita Puppy

This little guy got to our house on Sunday - he's damn cute.  He's a 10 week old purebred Akita pup.  A breeder in Tennessee brought him to my rescue groups partner vet clinic and asked them to euthanize him because he has an eye defect.  Luckily, the defect has almost totally corrected itself, and he can see completely fine now.  Glad they didn't euthanize him!  We're fostering him here until he finds a great home -  I think he's actually leaving tonight :smile:

He's a typical male akita - alays a little busy body, always getting into trouble, chewing on shit he shouldn't, and trying to beat on dogs 4x his size.  He's a good boy for the most part though, and smart as hell.  He'll make a good companion! 

He's pretty small now, but his paws are huge, and he should get to be 100+ pounds when he's done growing. 

I figured with the sad thread I just posted, I should post a nice one now with some cute pictures :smile:

You have some of the cutest animals. It sucks though because I cant show my GF the pics or else she will make me run out and buy more puppies.

cute dog, a friend of mine has a full grown akita and that dog is fucking large. Beautiful animal tho, their coats are really soft and fluffy.

Alex actually just went home with his new owner :smile:  Yay!

He is going to be a BIG dog - I can't wait to see how he grows up.  Hopefully they'll send updates of how big he gets!

akitas are baddass dogs. my freind had a huge one. but it bit him in the eye so they had to put him down. he was restless as shit.

awww, akitas are so awesome. we had one years ago, she was so big (a good 90+lbs) and fluffy and precious. she was super hyper though.
