What the hell is Zeppelin's problem?

How are you only going to play one show in London, sold out to a crowd of 20,000 something? I understand it's a tribute to the band's signer to Atlantic Records, but come on! They should do at least an East Coast tour or something. Plant says the band isn't planning a tour. That's such a dicktease, especially to Jason Bonham. Could you imagine how he must feel playing for his dad's band? Shit those video clips from the London show give me chills.

Honestly I dont care about Led Zeppelin, they were only good in the old days anyway. But yes only one show, that doesn't make any sence.

They are probably way too old to do that touring shit like they used to do in the old days. They have enough money already, probably just want to sit back and enjoy it.

I dunno there's just something different about that band. Even the name has a defining ring to it. It could be that I saw a lot of their live footage during an acid trip at a friend's, but for some reason I'm really drawn to this band. I'm a fan of all music, mostly rap recently, but Led Zeppelin will always be my all time favorite music performer period.

I like watching thier old live music too, but never when I was tripping. I heard a lot of Zeppelins music tripping on acid many times though.

They are all retired senior citizens by now, and Page looks like he has arthritis up on stage. Poor guy. I really doubt any of them have the energy to do any kind of tour.
Their concert performances were never as good as what you hear on the studio albums, anyway.

No, in most cases they were better. Led Zeppelin's live stuff blows any other live performances out of the water.
Have you actually sat through their entire 2 disc dvd of live performances? And if you have, you are really gonna sit there and try to tell me it's "not that good" compared to the studio versions?

I understand they're still old dudes, but they're still Zeppelin. That live footage, especially Kashmir sounded awesome! I don't expect Plant to be able to wail like he used to, but seeing the band together playing live would do it for me.

Have you ever seen their live DVD? Their live performances from the 70s were superior to the album most of the time. Page rips the studio jams apart.. especially in the Live at Royal Albert Hall footage from 1970.

Lucky, considering he's nowhere near the drummer his dad was.

I saw the video footage for "Song Remains The Same". I really wanted to see more of Page's playing, but sadly, the video showed swords instead. I was disappointed.

That's definitely not the footage to watch.
Get yourself a copy of "DVD," which is the actual title of the production. It's a two-disc set of live performances from their prime. Incredible remastering work of the footage, considering the original stuff was scrapped from use due to poor quality.
Plenty of Page, Plant, and Bonham. Not so much John Paul Jones, which is a fucking shame because that guy's an amazing multi-instrumentalist and easily kept up with Jimmy Page (listen to the bass line for Black Dog, it's practically the same as the guitar part).

They used to record with a mic in the audience AND in the show. They wanted to capture the entire experience in their songs, not just on stage. I admire that a lot about them. Read "Hammer of the God's: The Led Zeppelin Saga." It explains SOOOOO much the media left out .

Elbow recorded the crowd at Glastonbury singing "We Still Believe in Love, So Fuck You" when they performed there and put the sample into their song "Grace Under Pressure" on their next album. I love it.
