Was wondering if anyone could help me. Im looking for some very intense classical music. Not opera music. I dont know if there is a particular composer to look to to find this. If anyone can help point me in the right direction id appreciate it.

Stravinsky!

"Firebird suite" is a great place to start. It Caused a riot when it was first performed.

firebird is excellent. Also check out mozarts Requiem. namely the Lacrimosa movement. May be the most beautiful piece of music ever imo. gives me goosebumps every time i hear it.

Sibelius is quite good. Check out Symphonies No.1, No.2, & No.4, as well as Finlandia.

Giuseppe Verdi - La forza del destino

Some good solo music:

Tchaikovsky - Violin Concerto in D Major op. 35
Max Bruch - Violin Concerto No. 1 in G Minor op. 26

just download the whole "Classical Thunder" collection. it has all the most famous classical works.

if you are into choral work (which in my opinion can be the most powerful type of music) check out: "O Fortuna" by Carmina Burana. You'll recognize it
