i have a great version

of the song "knockin on heavens door" by led zeplin coverd by the grateful dead,i ts live and jerry sings it really good with a kinda reggea sound to it, i dont know what year its from but jerry still sounds pretty young in it,


they did some awesome covers, i have a good one of JGB doing "and it stoned me" live, the sound quality is not the best but nuntheless its a sweet cover,

any body else have any good songs the dead coverd?

'Under the Covers' podcasts from WSP homepage have some really good Dead covers for a change of pace if you're into that.

there's soooo many covers. many people forget essential dead songs like mama tried, NFA, and GDTRFB etc are all covers :crazy2:

I forget the exact numbers, but of the five hundred or so songs they played, over 200 of them were covers.
