Sin Bad, will you be in your home land for semi season or will you be on your road trip?

Hi Mountain my friend,

No, I wont be home this year for the Lib season, I be in New Zealand, and then British Columbia, probably Whistler.

So I'll have to hook up with a few locals and get them to show me the sacred spots.

keep on shrooming

Sin B.

MJ is really refering to the Pacific Northwest of the US whe he talks about Liberty Caps and their penchant for autumn. Besides, alothough he has asserted that libs NEVER pop up in the spring... he himself have found them in the spring... it's just not common. I am here to tell you that it DOES happen... an assertion backed by my having eaten fresh picked libs on two separate occasions in the spring...

Okay... tume for MJ to jump my shit.

I have a patch of the local strain going in my yard. Suprisingly, they started fruiting in December and never stopped. I see 9 nice sized specimens in my yard today. The winter here was very mild with hardly any frost.

Of course this is not a natural situation in several regards. The bed is made of pure horse manure and was planted in October. Details and pictures on my site under semilanceata on the species page.
