Ok so here is the deal...a friend calls me up and says his friend has found a patch of cyans...we go to the patch and I promptly tell the dumb asses that these mushrooms are not cyans and likely to not even be active. However, one of them ate a bunch of them and said they were frying. Better yet, I called the kid who told us about the patch and he said that he had eaten these types of mushrooms quite a few times and has fried. I think they are inocybes and I don't think they are active, somebody tell me if they are deadly poisonous because if they aren't, I am going to give em a try.

The pics are pretty self explanatory for identification purposes, all of the colors are spot on.
Habitat: In a gully type are with cover of trees in the PNW. Gills: Varying from tan to light orange. Cap: Tan with a darker spot in the center. SOme of them have a brown ring around the edges. Stem: Tan.....no noticeable bruising. And I am working ona spore print right now but they are taking quite a long time.

I think they are messing with you. They did not trip from those shrooms.

I have never seen any pictures, or descriptions of actives that look like that whatsoever.
Your friends are either pulling a joke on you, or got mild poisoning and mistook it for "frying." Some poisonings can make you lose coordination, and elevate body tempurature and such. Maybe they figured that was tripping? Have they done mushrooms in the past?
anyhoo...
Those look more like shiitake mushrooms than anything active. I wouldn't eat them if i were you. You really do not know what those are.

Alright...I won't eat them. They definitely weren't pulling a joke on me. They are just dumb asses. I was 99% sure these were not active. I just wanted to make sure before I threw them out.
I asked what type of mushrooms they were and the kid was like "Indocybes" And I said "Don't you mean inocybes? I don't think those are active" But he assured me he was tripping, what a doosh.

do you know about placebo effect , are you sure they trio on this i guess you better find real hard if your friend don´t get sick in the next 12 hours, inocybe have a few active species are most of all others in the genus are poisonous , be really careful , your mushrooms do not appear to be any active we have seem before, what are the spore print of those do you see a bruising, why it your friend is felling the beginning of sickness and he say is frying, i guess your should post many good pictures from different angle in macro mode , and make a spore print , thanks good your friend have not eat are amanita if not maybe they will not tell you this however that does not mean you should follow his actions

mmm.....The spore prints are just not coming out. We will see in maybe an hour. And no bruising WHATSOEVER. But. That doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't active. I just don't know. But, I am not going to eat them and that is that.
