has anyone actually had a success story from meeting someone on Craig's list?

so I've been without a lady friend for like 3 months now and its getting old.
I turned to Craig's list out of desperation/boredom
saw one cool chick and sent her an email
I just feel that online met ups or whatever will either not work out or it will turn out to be some freaky chick

my mom met my stepdad online and they are a perfect match that has been married for 6 years now.

I never really have checked craigslist for booty, but I just did and saw an entry for "simulated rape". Some chick wanted someone to come over and fake-rape her.

Haha I did that a while ago out of boredom... The chick never emailed me back. I mostly email the guys who post things in "missed connections" for bank tellers, Chili's waitresses, or any other occupation who gets paid to flirt with you.

its hard to meet people. everywhere i go people are plugged into a labtop, ipod, or cell phone. people get so wierded out when you approach them. im not bad looking, and i come across as a mild person to most people. i never talk to the perfect lookin bitches either, they come with a mental complex.

but for goddsake, why do people get so offended if you just start talking to them? just being friendly
