they sure put off a strong cyan light-show.
while drying, the caps turned into what look like blueberries

i would suspect they may be toxic, as the blue/green staining bolete is.
they first stained green, and then it turned more azure with age. the last specimen I found was already blue on the base of the stem.
the bluing isnt as dark as what ive seen from cyanescens, cubes, or copes, and not even like panaeolus subbalteatus or psilocybe stuntzii

so in other words it didnt resemble the other alkaloid oxidation effects I witnessed in the past. I am more than curious now and am damn eager for someone to do a GC/MS!

why must they change color?

any info on this mushroom that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. not much out there.

Because he is well versed in the effects of psilocybin, we should take his report seriously. However, we are faced with some contradictions.

I have been growing a luminescent Mycena from Malaysia, M. chlorophos, which produces white mycelium that bruises blue when cut. One analysis, however, have failed to detect any psilocybin, psilocin, or baeocystin. Is the bluing bluing phenomenon seen in these Mycena chemically similar to that seen in the psilocybin-producing mushrooms? Or are the events totally unrelated? Many researchers agree that the bluing Mycenas should be broadly screened and compared to the psilocybin-active species. Until then, I do not recommend experimenting with these or any other mushrooms with which we have had little experience. Nevertheless, with the current state of knowledge, the bluing reaction is an especially good indicator of psilocin activity in the Psilocybe and Panaeolus.
