yes there are species of boletes that bruise blue that can give you a nasty vomitting/dierrea/stomach cramps. but they dont have gilss they have pores. looks like a sponge on the bottom.

cubes do have strains. although that doesnt really matter when hunting(i.e. they all still look the same) as much as i does in cultivating. i could explain how/why there are different strains but i dont have the time i suggest that you google it if your interested. peace

p.s. most wont be so helpful once search is up so dont get in the habit of just asking ?s like this that are in many many other threads.

YEs and some Stropharias are blue, but they are blue naturally and not from bruising. Stropharia aeruginosa,

S. Caerulea and

Laterius deliciousis is very edible shroom and has blue-green tinges in the mushrtoom when you break the stem.

Boletus cyanescens and B. satanicus are toxic. But as noted abouve they have pores, not spores so you can eliminate any shroom with pores.

Any white gilled shroom, since many are deadly with white gills.

Onkly Chocolate to purrple brown and/or black spored gills are choice shrooms for magic properties. The psiulocybes are cbocolate brown to purple brown or Panaeolus/cCopelandia have black spores.

OOf course there are ten other genera with psilocine/psilocybine in them, but stick to the common simple species described throughout this site.

First off, not really. SInce the only black spored shrooms you should be looking for if you are looking for shrooms are Copelandia species and/or Panaeolus subbaltetus/.

Both grow in manure and the latter, with a world wide distribution can also be found in compost heaps, haystacks at riding stables and at race tracks and soimetimes in lawns or even in mulched gardens inthe early spring.

They have black gills and a black sporeprint.

mj

eleiminate any white or cinnamon or orange colored gills when hunting. Avoaind the Gymnoipilus species becasue Galerinas and Conocybes have that color pr4ints also, eevn though two concoybes in America are psychoactive they are rare and there are more easi

mjer speices to find.

Some Coprinus will also drop a black spore print. While Coprinus aren't toxic on their own, they can produce toxic effects if alcohol is consumed within a week of eating them.

Some Psathyerlla(not sure if that's spelled correctly) species will also drop black prints. As far as I know, none that drop black spore prints are toxic.
