A ?Mycena? that bruises blue (pics)

I think this is a Mycena of some sort. I took a sporeprint, but unfortunately I used white paper. At first I thought these were sterile or had sparse spore production, but after examining the paper closely, there seems to be a white sporeprint. I only found 2 specimens.Next batch I find,I'll use black paper just to be sure.
I'm fairly positive these aren't Mycena subcaerulea, I've collected those before and they are bluish to greenish in color sometimes, but they don't "bruise" blue. The only active Mycena I've heard of is Mycena cyanorhiza, and as far as I know it's found in Europe(listed in Italy).
These mushrooms were found in central North Carolina, growing from an old hardwood limb that was half buried under leaves. The mushrooms showed no bluing until a few minutes after they were picked. Most of the bluing occurred in the mycelium, at the base of the stem, and the cap edges eventually turned a bluish green. This seems to be a rare mushroom in this area.I've only gathered 9 specimens in the last 4 years from only two locations.I've searched the surrounding areas fairly consistently with no luck. The other similiar mushrooms I found were either growing from the underside of a hardwood log or directly on top.I only find'em after several days of consistent rain and high humidity.
Have any of you ever found these or have an idea of what they may be?
This may take a while to come up,it's a lot of pics.

Wow! Them sure are bluing quite a bit! I would say Mycena subcaerulea, but it says it only has blue coloration and does not actually bruise blue. Sure looks those are bluing though, so I'm not sure. The habitat, time of year, substrate, region, all match up for the M. subcaerulea, but the bluing throws everything off.
Rare find whatever it is! Great pics too!

I'm pretty sure there not M. subcaerulea.I've picked some of what I think was Mycena subcaerulea before, and the caps were more of a dull greenish blue and the mycelium didn't blue at all. With these mushrooms the mycelium was snow white when I picked'em. The cap was white with a touch of tan in the center. In less than 5 minutes the mycelium started to blue, then the bluing become more intense a few minutes later. The cap edges started bluing as time passed also. Didn't find enough to sample'em (I probably wouldn't anyway, until I had a positive ID).
Wish I knew what they were.
How come I always find the weird shit that no one can ID? : (
Oh well, it's still fun hunting for mushrooms. : )

Hey, Doo, have you run across any of those shrooms that some of us thought were magical, lately? You know, the ones with the white rim around the edge of the cap?
Stay cool!-Levi7.

Hey there Club99, you know I completely forgot about the Mycena that glows. I think it is the mycelium that glows, but I'm not sure either.I'll have to check into that and see if these do that. ?I wonder if the mycelium has to be fresh? It can't hurt to try.
Bluemeanie, I e-mailed Mj, and Workman also, hopefully one of 'em can shed some light on what these may be. I think Mj may be out of the country or something, so it may take him awhile to respond.
Levi7, you damn crazy hippie : ) , it's funny you should mention those other shrooms. I found some yesterday and today. The ones I've found are also mature specimens, and they have a different look to 'em. Found one with a cap as big as a quarter. Took a bunch of pics ( I have to, I suck as a photographer). I'm gonna try and post 'em tomorrow if any of the photos turn out ok. You gotta check 'em out for me brother, and tell me what you think : )

Looks like Mycena cyanorhizza to me. Definately not Mycena chlorophos. MJ has eaten these or a similar species before with good results although lab testing doens't show the presence of psilocybin or psilocin.

I forgot to mention this earlier, but these possess a beautiful separable gelatinous pellicle. It will peel right off, looks like a soft contact lens. I've noticed this with a couple of other Mycena species that I've collected, so this may be a common characteristic to the genus, but I'm not sure if all Mycna have this.
Damn, I wish my purple-brown spored mushrooms would blue like this, I'd be in hog heaven : )

Nice looking little mushrooms. Yesterday I found more specimens of a blue stalked mycena, which pops up in the same place every year. I have taken a print, which is pinkish in colour.
I have cultured Mycena chlorophos, but the glow is very dim on agar and it is difficult to fruit. I have a feeling that the culture I obtained was senescent. Mycena citrina has brighter luminescence, and produces cute little yellow caps.
