Re: FOUND ACTIVE BLUE MYCENA! - common? PICS!!! [Re: Alan Rockefeller]

I'm convinced that they are active in some regard. I am not convinced that the active chemical is Psilocybin, or Psilocin.

I know of four guys in their forties who have been consuming them for decades. I haven't tried them myself, on account of a) I don't trip anymore and b) I just don't trust it myself, lol.

However, I have seen them consume and they definitely aren't placebo-ing.

They come up within an hour, dilated pupils, euphoria, strong CEV's (equivalent to a Liberty Cap trip, in their words), facial tick, drooping of eyelids, nausea and sometimes severe anxiety. It seems to peak around the 90~ minute mark, plateau for two~ hours and then come down of an hour or so. Total experience, 4-5~ hours.

I've asked them if I could check their vitals during the trip, but being paranoid hippies they weren't keen at all.

These guys are situated in North-Western South Island, New Zealand. The Mycena they consume grows abundantly in the area- collecting specimens is not an issue.

I could send you some specimens- drop me a message. A DNA analysis would be primo- I don't have access to anything of the sort, not even a microscope lol.

I wonder if they are getting high from muscarine.  Everything fits but the closed eye visuals....

Or maybe muscarine and psilocybin.

I'd like to get set up to do GCMS testing for various mushroom toxins, if anyone has any reference standards please let me know.
