McDonald's Employess Arrested for making burger "too salty"
    #7399896 - 09/12/07 08:42 AM (16 years, 6 months ago)

this is all familiar of a topic, when considering the context of police abusing authority, just for the hell of it.

Salty burger lands McDonald's employee in jail
Police officer says oversalted meat made him sick; worker faces charges

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20677230/

Quote:

UNION CITY, Ga. - A McDonald’s employee spent a night in jail and is facing criminal charges because a police officer’s burger was too salty, so salty that he says it made him sick.

Bull, 20, said she accidentally spilled salt on hamburger meat and told her supervisor and a co-worker, who “tried to thump the salt off.”

On her break, she ate a burger made with the salty meat. “It didn’t make me sick,” Bull told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

But then Police Officer Wendell Adams got a burger made with the oversalted meat, and he returned a short time later and told the manager it made him sick.

Bull admitted spilling salt on the meat, and Adams took her outside and questioned her, she said.

“If it was too salty, why did (Adams) not take one bite and throw it away?” said Bull, who has worked at the restaurant for five months. She said she didn’t know a police officer got one of the salty burgers because she couldn’t see the drive-through window from her work area.

Police sent samples of the burger to the state crime lab for tests.

City public information officer George Louth said Bull was charged because she served the burger “without regards to the well-being of anyone who might consume it.”

weeee!  :crazy2:

well she got $60,000 but the god dammed pig was released of all charges..

Cops ARE fucking pigs man, I'm happy to have met at least a couple really cool cops that at least can start to slightly balance out the fucking swine, but most of them are probably shit.

Normally I come down on cops for shit like this but I have had so many orders at fast food places fucked up over the years I don't blame the cop. Filing charges are a bit much though. As far as I know nobody has ever died from eating a burger that was too salty. I think the supervisor should have been the one arrested though. According to the article she told him she spilled the salt and I'm assuming he told her to serve them anyway.

and i think he was talking about the original post - and the filing charges against the girl who made the salty burger, not the teen that filed charges against the cop in the second video.

there's so much corruption, it's easy to get it all mixed up

I know.  I saw that clip on TV before.  The cop thought he gave the chick a $20 and he actually gave her a $10.  Dumb bitch for settling for $60,000 though.  Allthough on the other handI'll take 60 grand any day for getting maced.

My first thought after watching the clip was, " If I were her mother I would sue. Glad to hear she won some money. That cop shouldve been fired. What he did from storming behind the counter, to arresting and macing her was sooooo wrong.

All he had to do was ask to speak with the manager and have him run a sales report on her register and count the draw to see if it was $10 over.

The fact that that guy is still allowed to have a gun and a badge is ridiculous. The pig who got the salty burger is way out of line as well. Fucking cops. I sincerely believe that anyone who actually wants to be a cop should not be allowed to do so.

ah man, the book is sooooo much better, as it's written as non fiction.

the movie is pure fiction. I am not a fan of fiction, and I really HATED the movie, probably because of how great the book was.

Fixed it for accuracy. :smirk:

You'll notice the appropriate spelling for "liter", as the movie took place in the United States, and not Britian.
