Virginia freedom activist Abbey Newman was stopped for no reason at
all on September 12, 2000.
The Virginia state trooper who had her pull over admitted at the
scene that he had no probable cause.
But he arrested her and threw her in jail overnight because she
refused to "show her papers" as she had every right to do. The
trooper was considering arresting her for the patriot literature
such as the U.S. Constitution that she had in her car (as heard on
the video in his car).
He was also very upset about the ammunition in her vehicle. He
ended up arresting her for obstruction of justice (refusal to
identify herself).
She is scheduled for a hearing on Monday, July 30 sometime after
9:00 a.m. at the Franklin County Circuit Court on East Court Street
in Rocky Mount.
A continuance motion may result in the trial being set over to a
later date, so please call 540-483-3065 to find out if the date has
been changed.
Gun owners have a lot to fear from this violation of the Fourth
Amendment requirement to have probable cause. No-knock searches of
houses -- and now random searches of cars -- mean that
unconstitutional gun laws loom as a larger and larger threat to gun
owners in the privacy of their cars and homes.
Abbey Newman deserves the support of gun owners. In a very real
way, her fight is our fight.

so, the [presumably] white, right-wing "patriot" gun owners are being arrested, eh?
Well shit man - join the club. Leftist dissidents, radical minority leaders and labor activists, and revolutionaries of all stripes deemed a threat to the status-quo have been being arrested, marginalized, demonized in the mass media, harrassed, convicted of manufactured crimes, bombed, spied upon, assassinated, beatened, kidnapped, and black-listed since the 19th century (and on a much more massive level outside U.S. borders of course).
Guess the beast is starting to turn on its master.

Headphone, I don't know about he beast turning on it's master thing. No one I know ever beat up or harrassed people like you describe.

When I went to Washing D.C. a few years back I saw the real U.S. constitution and I took a picture of it too, it behind thick green glass. I think this is just insane to consider arresting someone for having a copy of the U.S. constitution, and this should alarm all freedom loving Americans everywhere.
We'll see if the prosecutor gets a conviction on this one. That's one hell of a monkey of a case to try to make an American jury convict on. But we'll see.

especially since the consitution was drwan up on hemp!
Instead of the dove as the symbol of peace we should have a pillow. Its got more feathers but doesnt have that nasty sharp beak......
