Coir as substrate, PC or Pasteurize?

I am going to try to use Coir as a substrate for the first time...
I need advice from those who have used it before, please...

Is it better to PC or pasteurize?

If I PC, for how long and how many PSI's?

If I pasteurize, for how long and at what temp?

Your help is much appreciated!

pasteurize.. really you could just dump boiling water on your brick to hydrate it and use it.. i mix with straw and coffee and stuff and put in the over in oven bags at like 160 for a few hours.. 3-4 hours..

I just boil a gallon of water per brick, then turn it off and let it cool for fifteen minutes or so, then dump it in a bucket with the coir.

Then I cover and let it cool.

Haven't had problems yet.
