Yo Ricky,
Tell him what else is 'exactly" in Aqua Coir. Read the label. Explain the contents & consiquences of it. Then tell the world --- the problem is solved.

BuddyLee always had some contam problem (greenbitchmold) with peatmoss/verm mixes. Then BuddyLee found some coir for lizard and reptile bedding at the petstore. Took a little while to get used to its moisture holding capacity, but BuddyLees been getting GREAT results with coir. Love the stuff. And he never added any calcium(oyster shell powder) Even been getting 3-4 decent flushes with the coir. Never got that with the peat/verm. Shit always got contamed. Just my 2 cents.

It`s not necessary to add verm or oyster shell to your coir but it is better inmo. Water holding capabilities, strength, etc. a couple factors make it better.

ok, so i have 50/50 coir substrate. and i have three fully colonized millet jars. i read the FAQ's and Tek's but i still don't quite understand the next step. i have to pastuerize the substrate and then make a layer in the bottom of my terrarium, then i break up the colonized jars and spread over the substrate. is this all right? and do i put another layer of substrate over the colonized millet? please help, i'm not really sure what the next step is. thanks

Go and read up on casing in the faq. You seem to be a bit confused as to what to do next. You need a container of sorts to crumble your substrate in, level the broken up substrate and cover with a casing layer. Incubate and wait for fruiting to begin.
