You answered your own question! You have to much water, water drops can turn the substrate yellow, its not a contam, also believe it or not your mycelium shits, this excreated waste looks yellow as well, Now I cant tell you which one deffinatly happend to your jars but if they turn yellow next time give them time they may be okay, on the other hand they may have drowned in their own waste..... just give it time so you can determine whats really up...oh and its not caused by boiling jars :smile:

Try using a little less water when you mix your subsrate. Also a P.cooker is the best way to go(i'm sure though your tired of hearing that). Bought mine at "TARGET" for $25.00, 6qt. When they start to yellow, try loosening the lids a little (more air flow). good luck

I just took all my lids off. They all had big water beads on them and I don't know where the water came from, but anyways I now have paper towels in place of the lids. Someone gave me this hint so lets hope it works and can save my jars. Please reply if you have any more info for me!

you took the hole lid off the jar??? replacing it with paper?? not worried with other non-yellow contamination??
