Contaminated Jar Recovery.

I'm just curious if anyone has ever had a contaminated jar (with some mycelium in it) recover to the point where it was actually useful.

Well, I had to inoculate 72 pint jars, so I decided to ravage on of the half pint jars I already had colonizing to do it. So I just broke of pea sized clumps of mycelium, and dropped them one pellet in each jar. It didn't go so well, out of 72 jars I lost 6 to contaminants for sure, and I have 6 still fighting. So I was just curious if I should trash them, or let them do battle.

I would add to this that it is also risky. I still think that a lot of the stomach pains some people have when eating shrooms is actually caused by other ogranisms (contamination).

Well, I tried it anyhow. I seemed to have killed cobweb mold, there's no sign of it where there was before. The mycelium is still there(it may be dead too, but I don't know). I tried it with green mold too, the green mold is still there, but all dried out and less green, while the mycelium in that jar is also still there(and also may be dead). I'll keep posting the results in case anyone cares.
