contaminated jar rejuvination

would it be possible to re-pressure cook a contaminated jar with the contaminated substrate, and kill all the mold spores or bacteria? I forgot to boil the water i used to make the syringes with so i got 100% contamination. Just wondering if any one had tried this, before i throw away all this substrate.

short answer - no.
long answer - it would be possible but you would not be able to eat any of the fruits from the cakes. the reason contams are a problem is that: 1) they compete with mycelium as each try to get as much nutrient as possible and the mycelium be so taxed that it doesn't have enough energy/nutrients to produce fruit. 2) the contams themselves can produce chemical waste products that can be toxic to humans and result in illness or even death. if you where to successfully kill off all the contams you would still be left with those toxins. throw the cakes out.

Woohoo, somebody else thinks they are in a forum they are not.  This is contamination, not advanced cultivation.  Thanks for joining me in the ranks of not knowing where we are -grin-  (I did the same thing a week or so ago).
