i don't think the size matters all that much as long as you got some... a cap that's about 1/2 inch wide will be fine. i don't know about sterile card card storage, i've found that all the available info on that is a little vague also. i would just use a jar.

Here's what I do: Sterilize a 1/2 pint jar with 1 small hole punched in the top and a piece of electrical tape over the hole. When the shroom starts to drop its spores (you see a bit of purple on the stem) poke a sterilized pin in the top of the cap then snip it off with a pair of sterilized scissors. Take lid off jar (clean hands, wear mask, etc.) and quickly transfer cap into jar and tighten lid. Wait until shroom drops spores. Open jar, quickly take out cap and add 2/3 cup of sterile water. Tighten the lid, shake it up, and presto chango: SPORE SOLUTION! Peel back tape and insert syringe when ready to innoculate.

Holy shit do I feel good! Where am I?

You have lots of choices.

1. use a glass microscope slide, works well.
2. use filter paper (from scientific supply places)
3. use jars
4. tin foil (wiped with alcohol of H202)

Take your pick, they all work fine.
