Dude. You could use it, it's better than nothing. However trust me, if you are going to bother with humidification use an ultra sonic humidifier. They are a few bucks, BUT, I live in Canada and I went to a pawn shop and found a barely used Holmes brand with a huge water tank (fill less often) for $25.00, that's like ten bucks for you American folk, eheheh. Best way to use this is to attacha piece of hose (smallish, 1/4", 3/8" whatever) and then pipe it into a 2L Coke bottle, another piece of hose from that into another coke bottle, and then finally into your terrarium. The coke bottles cause the large water droplets to collect in the bottles instead of dropping on your cakes/substrate. You can find more info about this in the grow teks.

BTW You are looking for 95% + for humidity

Ripper's recent post describes a humidifier made of a single halfpint jar, an air pump and tubing, perlite and water. The halfpint humidifer keeps the humidity at a nice 95%, and will only cost you the price of perlite and an airpump. It also takes far less space than most any other humidifier.

go with the perlite option posted by ripper....oh and how do you get water in the jar once its been put in place? Simple add aonther piece of airline hose and inject water down this tube to get the water inside the jar! GO find his post its seriously worth it.

I stuck the humidifier in my terrarium with a hygrometer and it raised the humidity to 80% in about an hour. I'll probably go with rippers tek though. Perlite is cheap and i was already going to get an air pump for the air-exchange anyway. Thanx everybody.
