Casing Questions

OK... i know everyone is tired of hearing casing questions... so am i. I read the FAQ and other posts and teks. I DID MY HOMEWORK... ok... anyway... yeah, i still have a few questions. What is the best casing material... i'm thinking about using 50/50.... sounds good... should i be using lime or shells or anything? also, do i need to stick these casings in a humidified terrarium? i'm planning on using no external humidification, but perlite is available if i need it.... will i need humidification? also... i want to spawn bulk substrate... is straw generally the best to use? what about compost? where can i get this shit?

Yes, search for 50/50+ on the faq.

Not necessarily.

Mo, if the terrarium is not too big in relation to the casing surface, the the moisture that escapes the casing ois enough.

If you really did all of your homework then you would know to go get compost. Test your pH, read the directions on the perlite. and go get some crushed oyster shells and hydrated lime. Don't use manure go and get some compost. It works great.You can even add some worm castings to it. Most compost has worm castings already in it.If you want to you can add more though. Just remember most importiantly always to check your pH though.
