Perlite Vs. Ultra-Sonic Humidification

I am just about to start growing some p. cubensis and have read many conflicting documents about different humidification techniques. In MMGG it says that ultra-sonic humidifiers are the best and provide adequate gas exchange, but I have also read that ultra-sonic humidifiers cause water droplets to build up and do not provide enough gas exchange. I also read about perlite and that the only downsides are that it is messy. I don't want to spend a lot of money on an ultra-sonic humidifier if i can just spend $10 on perlite and get equal or better results. I also read that there is a cool mist humidifier method that is supposed to be the best also. So anyone with experience with any of these humidification methods, or any other methods, would like to lend a helping hand it would be greatly appreciated.

Wet perlite is all you need.

If you don't want to spend the money just use perlite. the down side is your going to have to fan it all the time. You can get a fish tank air pump and put an air stone on it and put it in a cup of water/h202. Depending on the size of your terrarium this can eliminate the need to fan, or greatly reduce it. My friend uses an ultrasonic humidifier. He has perlite on the bottom of his tank but no water. Its just there to soak up accumulated water and wick it back up to add to the humidity. He also has a bubbler just to add humidity and constantly have air flow, even when the humidifier is off. Ultrasonic humidifiers do provide good gas exchange, but only when they are on. Many people get them confused with ultrasonic foggers which provide no gas exchange.
