Cakes or Casing for Newbie?

I was just wondering if, for my first crop, I should simply grow on cakes or try a casing. I ordered 12 1/2 pint jars pre-sterilized with substrate from Myco Magic and a Creeper sy (along with the free Fla strain) from the little guy. Thanks.
