Marijuana Strains

Hello Shroomers, I am a drug virgin and I am very cautious to put and sort of chemical into my body. However, my research on Cannabis has led me to believe that taking moderate amounts would not be too harmful to my body.
  I have been reading the news reports on here though, and have seen alot about the increased potency of the drug. I am sure they over exaggerate, but it seems very logical that the weed now-a-days would be stronger than the 60's, due to growing practices and bio-engineering and whatnot. Everyone can agree that marijuana is a powerful thing and I believe radically altering such a plant could produce unforeseen results.
  So anywho, I was wondering what modern strains are most similar to grass of the olden days. :hippie:

I believe that back then most people smoked the leaves instead of the buds, one reason that they say potency went up.

It's also rather difficult to just pick a certain strain up off the street.

If you're interested in venturing into the "illicit" drug world, marijuana definitely sounds like the right candidate for you. For starters, there is no way in hell you could ever experience a fatal overdose on pot. If you have the connections, then I would recommend picking up a sack and trying it out. You shouldn't be disappointed. If you don't get high the first time, keep trying. It took me about 4 times of smoking before I finally felt the wonderful effects this blessed herb has to offer mankind. Good luck my friend.

:lol: My dad and uncles speaks smoking great buds for cheap as hell too. The always said they got ounces for $20. It was coming out of hawaii and jamaica. The never said anything about smoking leaves.

You could pick up some beasters (BC strain i believe) or pick up an M39. This is a good old time strain. Try finding some Acapulco gold :wink:

It has always been hard for me to find specific strains... I would just buy regular pot and random dro/chronic strains

no chronic is another word for marijuana so its all good what you dont want is shake that stuff sucks thats when its all leaves and and stuff and no bud i say go and grab like 3.5 grams which i think is called and 1/8th in the states or something like that it only costs about 25 bucks and you can get a couple of joints out of it so if it doesnt work the first time you can try try again

25 bucks = mids
If you want the chronic, like most roasters do your lookin at 60+ $ an 1/8th (3.5 grams) I pay 60 a slice for organic blueberry, mind bender, kush and deisle...

wouldnt some one prefer more potent weed? because then its much easier on your lungs because you have to smoke much much less of it to get the desired effect. i dont know why everyone is so afraid of marijuana being more potent. i see it as a healthier kind of pot.

anti-marijuana people always use the fact that its more potent today than it used to be. but they 100% of the time fail to state the reason that its bad. i have NEVER heard an actually valid argument for this fact against weed.

check it out, have you smoked yet? If not, your tolerance will probably be very fukin low. I'd smoke cheap weed to begin with, and only smoke half a fukin joint.

Never heard of people being scared of dank. I only smoke high grade, and it's better in many ways.  :bigweed:

The stronger the better my friend lol. Just be alone and do whatever feels right, if your anything like me, you'll end up talking to yourself and thinking about crazy things.

But seriously, the stronger the better. No reason to be afraid of doing the good shit, it's still natural, just grown in a sophisticated way.

An increase in THC might mean a decrease in other chemicals that balance out the high. Would that make sense?

Well, you have Sativa and Indica strain types. You'll probably find mostly Indica around you, since this is the type of plant that is normally grown indoors.

Indica is higher in CBD and lower in THC than sativa plants. This is the type that "glues you" onto the couch; mellow out.

Sativa plants are normally grown outside, and higher in THC than CBD. This produces a more clear headed, energetic type of high.

As with hash or hasish; it's more of a concentrated form of THC generally from the trichomes of the plant.

Look in my experience your not always gonna beable to find a "exact strain" your looking for there are so many strains and so much marijuana growing and being cloned around the world that your not really gonna know old time strain,

you just gotta identify if its some good weed or some dirty brick weed.. find a good hook up maybe a friend you know smokes buds, ask him if could pick up a 20 bag and smoke the shit out that bitch..

dont matter if its some chronic or schwag your gonna get baked if you smoke it right.. if you aint gotta pipe a apple pipe is easy to make and more safe than other alternatives.

last time i checked, better weed equaled better high. i'm blowing on some cali fire. just what ever you can find thats solid. central texas has alot of indica's- very few sativas.
if joints aren't your style, dont be afraid to ask some to use a pipe/bong/bubbler.

Stronger strains mean stronger highs. I've heard of people who can't handle it. for awhile when I was smoking the come-up of some dank was actually intense in a way.
