Well, Glove box is the best way but since alot of people don't have glove boxes but do have an oven I would say the oven is more widely used. I know a friend of a fiend who knows someone who has a cat who only uses the oven tek and has never had a prob.
Peace love & hair grease,

Glove box is by far better if you've got the time to put on together. You'll be able to do everything you need to do sterile in there.

regardless of what tek you use if you don't remain mindful of sterility for all items used in the tek you could risk contaminating your substrates. Of course...no precaution in the world will stop an infected/contaminated syringe from destroying your grow...learn about sterility and what things can lead to contamination. Unless you're in a lab you can't gaurantee 100% sterility but it's obvious those of us who are careful escape the grasp of "the mold."
Good luck.

not true! some dog i overheard used the oven tek and two of four myco bags turned out green moldish. made his lonely dog heart sad, but he was reassured when the other two bags turned out fine.

Use a GloveBox, it saves money and just costs about $10 to make

Actually I haven't used the glove box, oven tek, or even an alcohol flame for inoculations in a long time. No need for it really. Just be quick and ensure that you cover the needle with alcohol for each hole, and you can do inoculations in any environment.
Transfers and G2G is another thing, but inoculations can be done successfully in some pretty dirty conditions in my experience. It's also a lot easier to shake a syringe when you aren't trying to work in a cramped glove box.
