If I were inncoulating my jars in a glove box, will I need to sterilize the needle by burining the tip before I innoculate each jar?

You don't NEED to do it but it's always a good idea to sterilize as much as possible

Maby just rub it down with a alcohol soaked paper towel. I cant see why that wouldnt work. Thats all we do to the paper we print on and i'm sure we want that more sterile than the needle tip. The only problem is who knows what gets on the paper towel when you whipe. It would take time to prepare a 12 section paper towel with alcohol. I feel your pain, flaming takes awhile.

Do you think using a few alchol pads before each innoculation will work out well?

I set my syringes in a alchohol filled shot glass, before and between jars. Be sure to flick off excess alchohol. It's all the sterilization you need.

usually just wipe the needle off with an alcohol soaked cotton ball between jars and innoculate in a glove box. never really had any contam probs

I got my syringes from PF and they have this v shaped cut in the tip of the needle. When I wipe with cotton ball/pad/paper towel or anything I always get this damn cloth or cotton or whatever sticking in that v. Any suggestions? Do you guys have the same type syringes? If not where do you get your syringes? Wal-mart didn't have any sitting out nor did I expect they'd have them but it didn't hurt to look.
