You may have moved you cakes to the terrerium too early. The cakes in the jars have a high CO2 concentration and the ones in the birthing chamber have a very low concentration. High CO2 leads to the mycelium bumps/primordia...at that point you want to trigger pin set by decreasing CO2, dropping temp, adding light etc.

It has happened to me too!!! Good Luck.

without high co2 concentration, will they still fruit, and just take longer?

i am having the same problem, i have one cake that has some shrooms already growing and another that was birthed a few days after, which has no pins. is that do to not letting stay in the jar long enough? if so is there anything i can do to fix the problem?

Click on Grow/Find to your left and go the the PF Tek growing guide. There is a good picture there showing primordia growing on the cake while still in the jar. Personally, this is what I wait for before birthing any cake and every first flush is FAT! I know this procedure doesn't work with every strain, but if you are using the PF strain or something similar, you will get better results by waiting till the cakes look like the one in the picture. Remember, the one thing that every successfull grower has is patience!!
