What growth conditions influence potency?

What should I do to help keep my shrooms as potent as possible? Is it purely genetics or does it have something to do with growing conditions?

I use Ryche's magic substrate with verm brf bird seed and flax seed meal.

Just morbid curiosity. I don't know how I'd explain to any of the vegetarians that I know why I wanted them to poop in a bag for me.

Na, if a cow has eaten some metal, you give her this bolus (big ass cow pill) that is actually a magnet. It attracts the hardware and relieves the indigestion. I thought store bought cow shit was no good??
