I agree that winning the case doesnt mean much.
But I will conclude with what I can tell you from my personal experience.
Scientology, and scientologists, do not claim they are medically trained in any way... unless of course they are actual MD's. I think that if an MD did give professional care/supervision, it wasnt marred by his belief in Scientology.
However, since Scientology doesnt recognize psychiatry as a science or medical, they most likely did give what some would deem medical advice (if you think dissuading someone from psychiatric help is medical advice).
But I cannot imagine that the assumed actions of some of the scientologists happened, such as starving her and refusing to give her water, or sit idly by while she stops breathing.

That's pretty much akin to Christianity not recognizing evolution, or the same as me choosing to not recognize the sovereignity of the nation of Bulgaria. :smirk:

or like some not recognizing scientology as a religion?

I see where you are coming from, but how many times do we see people in the health forum here giving medical advice and advice on whether or not to get on this drug, or go seek therapy?
