I just hung out with a legion of 15 and 16 year olds for this summer program we're running. The teacher for physics class had surgery for a herniated disk on Friday and so he was so hopped up on painkillers today that he had to leave early and couldn't teach the class. So they left me there to babysit the kids and that's all they wanted to talk about. Well that and Transformers which apparently is ZOMG THE COOLEST MOVIE YOU HAVE TO SEE IT!!1111ONE

Yay.  I like the books a lot. What's interesting is that she was an amateur writer, mediocre at best when she wrote the first book. And as you read each successive book you actually see her grow as a writer, to the point where books five and six were leaps and bounds ahead of the ones before them. I really can't wait to see how the seventh turns out.

And the movies are just colorfully wonderful. I saw The Goblet of Fire on acid, before I had seen any of the movies or read any of the books. My friend dragged me to a big movie theater in times square on acid to see it and I had such a great time.

the books are awesome, and i know what you mean about seeing her grow as a writer. they have gotten progressively better. i'm really fucking excited for the new book especially. the movie will be nice, of course, but i've been waiting for the new book since i finished the last new book the 2 days after i got it when it came out. :frown:

I am tired of Harry Potter, I work at a place printing the book, we have been doing it for about two months. It is a security title so we get searched everytime we leave the plant and they have rent-a-cops walking around the plant on weekends.

Yeah, I'm fucking dieing for this last book to come out.  I think I might reread the half blood prince just because I the last time I read it was a week after it came out. 

And yes, I agree with the above comments that the books just keep on getting better and better.  The details and ideas are just amazing.  Anyway, I'm much more excited for the book to come out but I'll also be seeing the movie.  (don't get me wrong, I'll be at the movie theater opening night. :wink: :lol:

Yup, I've been reading Order of the Phoenix too.  Actually I just put the book down when I got on here and saw this thread... :lol:  I honestly don't read that often but there are a few types of books that keep me reading constantly and this series is one of them.

Word. I generally despise the fantasy genre, but there's just something about J.K. Rowling's world... It draws you in like the best of fiction. So childish yet so damn absorbing. I can put away 2-300 pages of Harry in a sitting easily.
