rye ? any sugg.?

just finished up wasting 20 quart jars.

open to any sugg.
new spores are in.
last time used stamets tek 1cup rye 1/3 cup water.
seemed really dry.
but when i dumped it it was moist and warm inside jars.

this time using the 100g rye to 110 water.
having to double for quart jars
probably less water.

the question i have is 200 g of dry rye berries is about 250ml. thus adding 200 ml water. the jar looks as if it will be less than half ful l(or half empty)

is this correct?
the jars on here always colonizing are almost full.

does anyone have a better tek or have a link its about the only one on here. some call for more water, but i've made up a few jars of one to one water/grain.
really sticky, but shakeable.

This method of rye prep is the one I use, it solves alot of problems in relation to the water/rye ratio. Also, I didn't use mountain spring water like the tek suggests and it worked fine.

Just soak your grain overnight, rinse & drain very well. Then load & PC per normal & let the jars cool to room temp in the PC. For double protection, PC twice & let cool in PC. That insures the jars don't suck in any contam when cooling outside your PC. Be ulta clean when innoc'ing & use filters on jars. Good luck SixTango

mine looked dry too, but it seems to have worked anyway. if you have filters, theyy will rehydrate a bit if you keep them in a terrarium.

1 part brown rice to 1.5 parts water. cook till water is evaporated, then load jars, ramsey seal, pc, then inoculate! 10-12 days you got a cake!!
