dark rye pf jars

how would i mix these jars? the same racio as the brown rice flour cakes or what? where can i aquire dark rye? can it be sterilized the same as the brf or does it require special sterilization method? if so what method? thanks alot for your help!!

Just used Rye Flour on my last batch of jars. Same ratio as BRF...seemed to work better. Don't know if it will change any potency but had 95% colonization after just 5 days! Bought it at Krogers in the bakery section $3 for 5lbs..

i've used 8/3/3 verm/rye flour/water and works ok.
i used simple rye flour(never saw dark rye).
30 min in pc does the job.

not very informative at all but i would like to give you some hints toward success. 8/3/3 ratio is pretty good, i use a little more water so that the substrate is moist enough to get water droplets when squeezed in your hand. not oatmeal-like soup but very moist. also noted that i use a little under 1/2 the amount of brown rice flour that i do verm. im just now trying to incorporate whole grain rye as a second nutrient to the substrate. note that i am not adding more to it, i am replacing some of the brown rice flour with rye. dont use anything larger than use 1/2 quart jars and sterilize using your judgement. unless you really are stoned then you can just throw them in boiling water for an hour or so, or nuke it in the microwave (saran wrap over the top- no metal lids) till theyre piping hot (about 10 min for 4 jars in my mic.) but try not to over do it, youll lose all your moisture. pressure cooking would work the best if you can though. keep them warm and keep them wet.

papa bear- wow 95% in 5 days im jealous! was that straight spore innoculation or mycellium water?
