Yea: You only need about an inch of water!

At the most you'll only need to fill the PC with enough water to reach 1/4inch up the jar. When I PC for 20min. I only fill it up with enough water to cover the rack on the bottom. I put about an inch in there. I boil the water, add the jars, add the PC top and wait for a steady flow of steam, then I cap it with my rocker and wait untill it gets up to 15PSI. Then I really let down the power and let the rocker rock maybe 3-4x a minute. When doing whole grains, that is, pressure cooking for one hour, I add more water and pressure cook a little slower. I had a bad experience once when the pressure cooker ran dry: I figure that I didn't add enough water and I was running it too hot. Anyways, I hope that helped...

is it ok to put in the fridge to cool it down faster
I wouldn't. I mean, the fridge is allready loaded u with some nastie spores and as the PC cools it will suck in the surrounding air. I just let to cool out in the open and innoculate no-faster than 6 hours after they are PC'd. I microwave water for 3 minutes, suck it up and squirt it out a few times, wrap the emptry syringe in foil and PC for 15min at 20psi with some jars. If the syringe is high-quality then it souldn't melt but I cant say for sure. If you got it from a vendor around here them i'm sure it's fine!

Sure if you want your jars to explode.
Just let the PC sit on top of the stove over night...they'll be ready in the morning.
Peace,

Sure...if your up...or you could just wait untill the next day. 12 hours isn't going to make too much of a difference. Rush things and you might screw up when you dont need to!

After I just got my pc, everytime to cool it down I would put it in the fridge. Now using it about 3 or 4 times like that with the sames jars, this time I did that and when I went to innaculate, almost all my jars cracked at the bottom so now I have to go get some more. Im not sticking them in the fridge any more now.

Do you expect to be able to finish in a month? You may waste some of the cakes fruiting potential becuase you'll probably only be able to get one flush in a month, if even that, unless you plan to take your cakes to Canada with you. Nevermind, it's a really bad idea to transport drugs across borders. Your jars may be 100% colonized in 3 weeks but then again it may take 4 or more depending on conditions. You need at least three more weeks after birthing to get two or three flushes. I would try to have two full months to grow in. But maybe I misunderstood you.
-------------------- Say, can I have some of your purple berries? Yes, I've been eating them, for six or seven weeks now, haven't got sick once.
