Grain jars are just like canned food. I in fact like to cook them up & leave them sit a week or so to insure no other growth occurs I.E. they are sterile. When grandma canned things, they kept all winter, you eat canned products that are more than a month old don't you? Grain jars are nothing but food for fungi!

I once read in a growing tek that they can be stored indefinitly until you're ready to use them, but a month is a little long. Can you see any visible contams? If you don't see any then it maybe ok. I would recommend that you make another batch of jars to be safe, and plus you're cakes may have dried out. I wouldn't want to take a chance on wasting a spore syringe.

Yes, I eat food that's canned more than a month. I wasn't really talking about it being contaminated. I just wouldn't recommend using month old jars because the cakes could have lost moisture.
